Reach us by phone or email as soon as possible after the passing. We will open a case and begin coordination right away.

Yusr will request a copy of the death certificate to verify eligibility and begin processing the claim.

Provide us the funeral home's name and contact. Yusr will contact them directly to confirm the invoice and arrange payment.
Yusr handles the rest
We calculate the contribution from each eligible member, process the charges, and pay the funeral home directly. The family receives confirmation once payment is sent.

The Process
What Yusr does behind the scenes.
From the moment a case is opened, Yusr handles all coordination, calculations, and payments.

Death certificate and funeral home invoice received and verified.
Contribution amounts calculated and member cards charged.
Funds collected and payment sent directly to funeral home.
Family receives confirmation. Case is closed.
Important to know
Eligibility is verified first
Yusr confirms that the deceased was an active, eligible member in good standing before any distribution is processed.
Contribution notifications
All contributing members receive an email notification with the event details and the amount they will be charged.
Coverage cap applies
If the funeral cost exceeds $12,000 CAD, Yusr covers up to $12,000 only. The family is responsible for any amount above the cap.
Payment goes to the funeral home
Yusr never transfers funds to the family directly. Payment is always sent to the funeral home to protect all parties.
